Citazione:
is true that it is all filmed in the same ten acres of woodland, with the same five horses galloping around the same dirt road every time, and that invariably the episode climaxes with someone or other beating the brains out of somebody else. But it is just SOOOO watchable. Kai, who is a sort of amalgam of Lancelot, Gawaine and, well, Kay, is usually the main character. He is a Saxon himself (it's all Celts vs Saxons, with the Saxons recognizable by their sheepskin wraps), but raised as a Celt, so although he wields an axe and wears sheepskin he is the most rabidly nationalistic of the bunch. He is also useful for spy missions, disguises, etc., because he wears sheepskin. He looks like Joanna Lumley as Patsy Stone in 1970s drag. I am not kidding. Kai is the one who falls for all the girls, gets into trouble, yells at Arthur for being too nice to everyone, and generally gets taught a moral lesson at the end of the episode. He is a TOTAL SIDEKICK.
Arthur himself gets less airtime but, well, you would die for him (and not just because he is so hot.) His opening gambit is to stage his own death. He is very, very good at faking being hurt, so much so that me and Sara sometimes get fooled and think he's faking it even when he is hurt. Me: "Oh my gosh one of the Saxons just threw a sword at his back and it's stuck in his shoulder." Sara: "Nah, he's faking again." He wasn't, but he carried on a sensible conversation without blinking all the while they were cauterizing his back. (He did sweat a bit. He has a very nice back.) He is usually thoroughly expressionless throughout the action, which gives him the advantage of freaking you out when he suddenly gets mad or grins at you. When Kai pretends to be a Saxon, Arthur always ends up pretending to be his prisoner. Or someone's prisoner. But don't worry, he always gets to despatch his captors very tidily when everyone beats each others brains out at the end of the episode.

Peccato che non riesca a trovarlo da nessuna parte
