I understand perfectly. It's the same with Mordred, for example. In that book he is not evil, he is not tormented by his destiny and his birth. And without the tragedy of his figure he is not really Mordred.

No doubt... i'd like to play Ginevra in First Knight, the only movie who has an happy end for the most beautiful couple in the medieval literature... :smile_wub:

I've just finshed to watch it..a really great movie..richard gere is the best and the actress that played Ginevra is very very good..also beautiful..nothing to say at all..

Recently my opinion about Lancelot... got better XD
I think it's all because of Gerald Morris. He writes a SUPERB Lancelot.

eheheh..Lancelot was superb! but it should be enough that you watch the First Knight..impossible don't loving that movie! great actors..everybody.. and a lot of passion..

Ehm... I actually watched that movie (twice, I think, in Italian and in English) and I really hated it : ( I'm sorry.
I couldn't feel the love between Lancelot and Guinevere or between Guenever and Arthur. The only things I loved were the scene with Lancelot crying and the presence of Agravaine (I usually love Agravaine).
The absence of Mordred was very important in my opinion about the movie XD

PS: About movie that are mostly about the relationship between Lancelot and Guinevere I preferred the musical Camelot. That lancelot was great and I have a crush on Vanessa Redgrave as Guinevere.
There I could feel the tragic love (and also the love between Arthur and Guenevere)

I found myself crying. That's so touching.

I always cry when I watch that movie. In the first part I laugh (Dinadan <3) and the second part is terribly touching ;_;
